Continue working on the Final Exam Project.
Students are creating whichever form of social media (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat) they want to use for their projects. They were to select a story, book, poem, etc that we have read in class or they could use a book they have read outside of class. They are to select one of the characters as the profile of the page. The dialogue, events, characters, conflict, setting, resolutions, etc are to show in the postings/discussions on the page between characters. They were shown and told about the scoring guide and reflection questions. They will receive them in hand on the final day.

I provided a multitude of exams for each class. I gave them a piece of paper to do their layout in class yesterday.

Today, the students are to begin their final version on the anchor chart paper that I am providing for them.

Bellwork: NO GRADE CHECK SHEET

We will begin working on the FINAL EXAM. I will provide guidelines and instructions. Students will create a social media page on poster board (self provide) or anchor chart paper (I will provide) based on a character from any short stories, poems, or books we have read.

Students may choose to create a Facebook Page, Instagram, Twitter, Snapchat, etc.

Students' final step of the final exam process will be a reflection about the effort they put into their final exam project and thoughts about the project.

"I thought most of the projects turned out really well and everyone did a good job on them. I don’t think this was better than the reading log because these took more time and had to do a lot more steps to complete it. I kind of could but couldn’t understand the events in my book. I don’t think I did that well as I did on the reading logs and I didn’t take that much pride in it."

EXIT DIRECTIONS:

DO: Each student will decide their story, character(s) and social media tool

PUT: Students will begin designing layout for their page

WHEN DONE DO: Clean up the area and put away supplies for tomorrow.
